Fidory Privacy Policy

Overview

Fidory is an offline-first dog care app. It helps you record dog profiles, daily care, health information, walks, medications, reminders, veterinary visits, expenses, documents, training, reports, backups, and optional iCloud Sync.

No Fidory Account

Fidory does not require a Fidory account. You do not create a username or password with Fidory, and Fidory does not operate a custom account or sync server.

Data Stored On Your Device

By default, your Fidory data stays on your device. Depending on the features you use, this can include:

• dog profile details, such as name, breed, birth date, sex, weight, color, microchip or passport details, allergies, chronic conditions, food information, care goals, and veterinarian contact details;
• care events, notes, health measurements, medication plans and dose logs, reminders, veterinary visits, diagnoses, treatment or vaccine notes, achievements, expenses, and training logs;
• walk records, including dates, duration, distance, speed, weather, notes, start and end addresses, route coordinates, walk markers, and walk photos;
• photos, attachments, documents, route files, and generated PDF report files; and
• report, backup, and app-setting metadata needed to provide the features you choose.

Optional iCloud Sync

iCloud Sync is an optional Fidory Plus feature. When you enable it and choose Sync Now, supported records and files are transferred through Apple's CloudKit service to the private CloudKit database associated with your iCloud account. Fidory does not operate a separate sync server.

The information that can sync includes the dog-profile, care, health, walk, medication, reminder, veterinary, achievement, expense, document, training, and report data described above. Precise route coordinates and start or end addresses can sync when they are part of a recorded walk. Supported file payloads include profile photos, route files, report PDFs, and attachments.

Fidory does not upload manual backup archives, raw app databases, device-specific settings, temporary or orphaned files, or individual file payloads larger than 25 MB through iCloud Sync. The production sync schema does not include Fidory's debug/test diagnostic record type, and your device name is not included in normal production sync records.

Apple provides and operates iCloud and CloudKit. Your use of those services is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.

Manual Backup And Export

You can create and import .patipilotbackup files. These backups can contain the records and supported files described above. Backup metadata can include your device name so you can recognize the source device.

Fidory backup files are not encrypted by Fidory. You choose where they are saved or shared through the iOS Files and share interfaces. Keep them in a location you trust and avoid sending them through an insecure or public channel.

Location

Fidory requests location access only for walk recording. During an active walk, location is used to calculate distance and save the route, and background location allows recording to continue while the app is backgrounded or the screen is locked. Location updates stop when the walk is finished or discarded. If you enable iCloud Sync, saved walk coordinates and related addresses can be included in the private CloudKit data described above.

Purchases

Fidory Plus Lifetime is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple through StoreKit. Apple processes payment details, refunds, and revocations; Fidory does not receive your card or bank details. The app observes the Apple transaction and keeps local entitlement state so it can provide and restore Plus features.

Reports And Health Information

Pet Health Summary for Vet reports are generated locally from the records you enter. Fidory is not a medical or veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or emergency service. Contact a veterinarian for medical concerns.

No Ads, Tracking, Or Analytics SDKs

Fidory does not include third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs. Fidory does not track you across other companies' apps or websites and does not sell your data. Apple supplies StoreKit and the optional CloudKit service. If you choose to open the public GitHub support page, GitHub's privacy practices apply to that visit and anything you post there.

Retention

• Local app data remains on your device until you delete individual records, use Reset Local Data, or remove the app and its local data.
• Manual backup files remain wherever you save or share them until you delete them from those locations.
• Synced data remains in your private iCloud database until a relevant record deletion is synced or you manage or delete Fidory's stored data through your iCloud storage settings. Fidory does not promise a fixed retention period for Apple-operated iCloud storage.

Exporting And Deleting Your Data

You can export a manual backup from Fidory before deleting or moving data.

Deleting an individual record or dog clears its content fields from Fidory-managed local storage. Fidory retains a minimal deletion marker containing non-content identifiers and timestamps so an older copy cannot reappear during synchronization. When you next choose Sync Now, that scrubbed deletion marker replaces the prior record content in your private CloudKit database and lets the deletion propagate to your other devices. The minimal marker can remain for conflict prevention. Turning iCloud Sync off only stops future sync; it does not erase data already stored in iCloud. Reset Local Data removes Fidory data from the current device but does not, by itself, delete data already stored in iCloud.

To delete synced data, delete the relevant dog or records in Fidory while iCloud Sync is enabled, then choose Sync Now before turning sync off or resetting local data. Repeat this for the records you want removed. Fidory does not provide a one-tap remote purge. Apple may also provide app-data controls through your Apple Account's iCloud storage settings; the controls available there depend on Apple's current software and services.

Because Fidory does not operate user accounts or a custom backend, Fidory support cannot directly identify or erase records inside your private iCloud database.

For private privacy or support questions, email Fidory Support. Do not attach backup files or include precise locations, health details, or other sensitive records unless support specifically asks for the minimum information needed. The optional public issue tracker is only for non-sensitive reports. Support can explain Fidory's local and iCloud controls but cannot access your private CloudKit records.
